This is my 520i Lux 1988 BMW e28. The e28 ran from 1981-1988 so my car is one of the last models. Being the Lux model it comes with electric windows, mirrors and sunroof all in working condition. This car comes with the fantastic M20 six cylinder engine. This car has covered 144, 000 miles and is in great sound mechanical condition. 37 years old and these 80’s cars are fast becoming top retro style. Shark nose BMW’s always have a good following.
So the bad bits, the car needs welding, I’ve got replacement panels for the lower front wings, both floors and seals. These need welding but also it needs fabrication of some jacking points and repairs of some areas on the chassis rails. I’ve had some paint mixed to the colour of the car which is meant to be Zinnoberrot red paint code 138 but as it was not an exact match Autopaints in Brighton did a colour sample match. So you’ve heard the bad bits so now for the good.
The interior is in top condition with no tears or marks and fully complete. The dash has one very small crack in it. The glass is all complete with no cracks at all. The comes with an original foam boot spoiler from BMW and that is in very nice condition. The wheels are 14” BBS Maule in like new condition with great tyres with plenty of tread left. It’s the original suspension. The brakes on this car are brand new with new pads. The car has had 10 owners and over the years it’s looked a few different ways. I was going to undertake the work myself but time just passed and on opportunity came up to get a different car which I did. I’m looking to get £4, 000 for the car as is Ono

I named the car Edith when I took ownership back in July 2021. It’s had 10 owners over the past 37 years. Great looking car once all done. Lots of paperwork history and I’ve tracked back 8 of the 10 owners.
