In stunning original condition, an investment for the collector and the enthusiast's pride and joy to be admired at meets and shows. This car has wanted for nothing with a comprehensive documented history file. New underbody waxoyl and cavity wax protection (with before and after photos included in the history file), new timing belt, auxiliary belts, oil change, oil/ air filters (manufacturer spec service), wipers, battery, discs and pads at 33k miles and new tyres. The exterior is in amazing original condition. The Silver Stone metallic paintwork looks fresh and has a deep glossy shine. The car looks almost the same as it did when it left the showroom in 1997. The soft top is original and in 'as new' condition. The glass is factory etched and all panels retain perfect original alignment gaps and manufacturer's panel stickers within the door reveals, boot and under the bonnet. The original number plates are also present.

The interior features the later specification 'as-new' condition charcoal grey cloth seats with adjustable headrests, which were introduced with the 1. 8iS model. These seats are very comfortable. Black carpets, black console, leather steering wheel and door cards give the interior an understated sporty appearance, perfectly complimented with stainless steel scuff plates and speaker surround trims. The electric windows operate freely, as do the electric mirrors and automatic aerial. The instruments all function correctly, the steering is precise and the close-ratio gear-change provides crisp and positive feedback.

The lightweight 1. 8 16-valve DOHC engine is the more powerful 130bhp version and sits inside a near spotless engine bay. It's responsive and produces a crisp mechanical sound.

The original factory fitted wheels are in 'as-new' condition with new Pirelli 195/ 50/ 15 tyres. The new brakes comprise factory spec 255mm ventilated discs at the front and solid 251mm at the back.

The history file will impress and fill you with confidence, containing all services, invoices and documents from birth. It also includes the manufacturer's original brochure for the 1. 8iS model. The MX5 was first registered 19 November 1997.
The file contains a detailed service history by Mazda and later independent specialist. New MOT in January.
