Welcome to the sale of my 1992 Mercedes-Benz W124 230E. A very rare example & with being a 1 family owner car from new. Ordered new by a barrister (cousin) and kept in the family ever since.

The car sat garaged for many years before being put back on the road in 2020. £2500 was spent recommissioning it, to get the car back up and running. Thermostat, fuel pump, water pump, filters, spark plugs, fan, pads and so on.

The car is finished in the iconic Mercedes Blue/ Black Metallic, over cream leather. 165, 000 miles are on the clock and the car comes with lots of paperwork, invoices etc. FSH, service booklet, manuals etc. stamped right up to 156, 000, with only a few being a Porsche/ Mercedes specialist down south.

MOT’d, passing with only one advisory, being the crack in the corner of the windscreen. This isn’t an outside crack and is structurally sound.

Two new front callipers have been fitted also. Recently serviced too, with two rear shock absorbers also. The car drives beautifully, with the only defect being the car revving higher than it should between changing gear. It changes gear fine and smoothly, as should, but just not when it’s supposed to. I’ve recently had this diagnosed by a classic car Automatic gearbox specialist, who knows these inside and out. The cost to repair would be just over £1K, but with other projects and life costs in the way, I decided to leave and sell as is. I just don’t want to put anymore money in to it right now.

Other than this, the car is a fantastic example. Two new front wings fitted and painted, bonnet, bumper and boot lid and spoiler painted also. Fully Machined polished, and now the car looks stunning. No body rust whatsoever. Completely solid underneath.

As for the rare pre merger AMG bodykit, I can’t tell you when this was fitted and whether it’s genuine or not, but fits as should and looks superb. The car has a genuine and very rare Carat Duchatelet rear spoiler that compliments the body very nicely.

The items I have done to it cosmetically are as follows - source the very rare, genuine 16” AMG monoblock alloys that would’ve been fitted in period. I’ve had them diamond cut, being painted to body colour with a polished look outer rim.

Fresh Hankook tyres all around. All in, this cost well over £1000. Oh and H&R lowering springs all around too. The wheels don’t catch at all. It rides beautifully.

De-Chrome of the car to capture the full pre merger look of the mid 80’s-early 90s.

AMG front fogs, fitted and working to fit the front bumper.

Note the NEC in car telephone. Can’t tell you when this was fitted, and sorry, it doesn’t come with red braces, and you can’t make yuppy phone calls on it to fellow city slickers.

Overall, a fantastic, honest, rust free example of a W124 Mercedes. Ready to use and be enjoyed. Very reliable and doesn’t miss a beat. Priced accordingly, due to gearbox fault. Cars like this don’t come up often, so a rare opportunity to acquire such an example, in my opinion.

Please, no part ex’s, time wasters, or disrespectful offers. Thank you for looking.
