Fully useable classic Citroen AXGT
This little pocket rocket has spent most of its life in the sunny climate of Porto taken there by its previous owner in the mid nineties.
It has benefitted from this as can be verified by the condition of the bodyshell corrosion wise.
The car was fully road legal in Porto (with Portuguese plates) until I repatriated it to the UK four years ago.
The AXGT has undergone some mechanical work that includes, Full head rebuild with cambelt kit & water pump, Full service, New Radiator & thermostat with housing, cold air valve, some coolant hoses, Complete exhaust including correct twin chamber downpipe, New Battery & Alternator, Distributer refurbished inc new vac unit, gearbox reconditioned with new bearings, seals, diff planet gears, new clutch kit, gear selector links & ball, replacement oe gear knob.
Bilstien B8 rear shocks, Koni adjustable front inserts, Spax lowering springs ( I have the OE springs if required in excellent condition)
Tarox G8 discs, Genuine brake pads, new shoes, cylinders, drums and hoses,
All four wheel bearings, strut tops, lower arms, arb mounts & bushes.
Full wheel alignment to correct years of mis adjustment resulting in incorrect toe out on turns, now rectified.
The Axgt also retains the often broken or missing oe brake cooling air scoops.
The GT also Comes with the following optional extras, Rear head rests, cubby hole door on drivers side of dash, headlight protectors, door handle guards (in box not fitted) Full set of genuine mudflaps, lights on warning buzzer.
New old stock radio/ tape player in perfect working order, one touch close power windows and alarm linked to these.
New headlights (to replace LHD ones) new indicators, new front fog lights.
Full set of mats, the Axgt also retains its sunroof bag and Citroen handbook pack.
Two keys and two remotes
All 5 alloy wheels 14" have been expertly refurbished in the correct scheme by We Restore Alloys In Scotland and are shod with Hankook tyres with plenty of life left, new locking nuts also fitted.
Any inspection welcome, there is a small rust patch on the front edge of the sunroof opening but barring that the body is in amazing condition, any dents present were removed by a dent removal expert.
Everything on this car works even down to the illumination on the window switches.
I believe it will be very hard to find another AXGT in this condition & would be a worthy candidate for a Concours car or use as is for some AXtremmely! good fun.
