Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA-R
The original car was a 1965 Giulia Sprint GT (105. 02) with chassis number AR 620610. Although the production date was recorded as December 31, 1965, this unit was delivered in May 1966 to a gentleman in Belgium. The vehicle has Dutch registration and is currently garaged in Madrid, Spain.
It is a fresh build from bare metal to ‘GTA’ specifications. However, Alfaholics has mainly provided all new parts and components, accounting for their whole performance catalog.
The body shell was reinforced, seam welded, and an Alfaholics roll cage was fitted. The floors were modified to suit special-order Cobra seats. The engine is a modified 2. 0 liter ‘01500’ built by the renowned Dutch specialist ‘The 105 Workshop.’ It was assembled from a bare block with new components and peripherals, including the large Weber carbs. The power is delivered through a modified five-speed gearbox and clutch, Gripper Diff and Alfaholics large diameter prop shaft.
This car is no replica. Instead, it has been professionally constructed with no expense spared and with meticulous attention to detail. The list of new parts is endless: air conditioning; Lexan in all the windows; custom-made front grill, GRP hood and bonnet; custom-made wire loom and lightweight battery; new larger rotors and calipers in the four corners; performance suspension with custom sway bars; adjustable front control arms and tension rods; Watts linkage; … new bearings, silent blocks etc.
The owner had this car built to enjoy Spain's fabulous coast roads and track days at circuits such as Ascary or Jerez. However, the current environmental regulations in Spain prevented him from getting the Spanish registration for the car, so it has never been used. It has been dry-stored since delivery in his climatized garage.
