US Spec Honda CBX 1000 Pro Link.
Registered in the UK in 1997 this CBX had only covered 7miles. The importer had purchased the bike from the states where it had been one of the motorcycles donated by Honda to technical colleges around America to be displayed as engineering masterpieces.
I purchased the Bike the same year in 1997. Initially the bike was stored for many years, but was commissioned in 2010 and has had very light use since with long periods of storage. The Bike has now covered 2727 miles. During storage the bike has been run yearly and turned over on the started monthly to circulate the oil.
The bike is in completely original condition. As you see it in the photos is how I bought it 27 years ago. No items on the bike have been restored. It has had new tyres in 2012 and a few battery's over the years. It has its original chain and brake pads fitted from new. The carbs have recently be balanced and had new seals fitted so she runs perfectly. The Original Exhausts are showing little to no signs of corrosion and have been stored carefully and will be included in the sale. Currently fitted is a Delkevic 6 into 1 exhaust. I fitted the 6 into 1 because it sounds fabulous and to preserve the rare original exhaust system.
I've owned the bike for a long time and it has been one of my treasures. It will be sad to see it go, so I am hoping its next owner will be a sympatric classic bike owner who will enjoy owning it as much as I have.
