I purchased this car from an independant specialist in 2012 when it had only 26, 998 miles, they had just taken it from its first owner in part exchange against another car.
The car is a rare manual in top of the range SE trim which included full leather, CD player (it was 2004), cruise control, electric driver's seat, heated seats, boot divider, full sized-spare wheel.
In the intervening 12 years I have convered nearly 100, 000 miles without any issues. The car has always been serviced by main dealers and more recently independant Volvo/ Saab specialists, regardless of expense. It's taken me all over Europe principally for longer journeys with minimal local use in between.
The car has a great character. Thanks to the turbocharged 5-cylinder there is 220 HP on tap, which paired with the manual gearbox makes for an entertaining drive and an addictive engine note. 0-60 comes up in 6. 6 seconds and there is buckets of mid-range torque.
With only two longterm owners (2004-2012 and 2012 - 2024) the car is in great conditon overall. There is minimal wear on the interior, even the mats are original. There are a few minor paint blemishes and stone chips comensurate with age and mileage, but nothing major for a 20 year old car.
I'm only selling due to relocation to Europe, otherwise my trusty Volvo would definately be staying in the garage! A really characterful and well engineered sports saloon car, which now feels far more engaging and interesting than contemporary alternatives.
