Hello everyone. Please meet Beryl.
Beryl is a 1976 8 seater VW Kombi in Cosmic Yellow.
Originally from South Africa, I shipped her across in 2019, from a specialist exporter (Garry C, who advertises on C&C). Since when, we have had adventures in her adopted homeland of Cornwall where she is regularly driven, pampered and garaged. Regularly serviced by the aircooled specialist at Glassons Garage in Camborne and just had a check over from WestCoast VW before I put her up to make sure she is in Tip Top condition for her next owner.

As in description, imported from Port Elizabeth in SA in 2019 by myself (I have all the Docs, bill of landing, import clearance, NOVA etc. if you want them). She has then lived in Cornwall, running around regularly and for days out.
Apart from the obvious tyres, brakes, other consumables, and a spray at some point. Beryl is as original as when she came off the production line.
I have her original papers from the main dealer in 1976, all her SA service history in the original manuals and service books, and her 'Birth Certificate' from Wolfsburg! (Which I applied for).
She runs sweet, the 2000cc engine making easy work of the Cornish 'rolling' countryside. She sits quite happily at 60 mph (and beyond with the wind behind her) on the dual carriageway, but that is not what she is really about. She much prefers to 'pootle' around the Cornish villages bringing smiles to peoples faces as you drive past like a big yellow ray of sunshine!
Being an old girl (only 1 year younger than myself), she's not perfect but I have not affected any changes to her interior as (in my opinion) most people would like her in original state (?). However, if you are going to give her a face-lift, she is a tin top and the original Kombi benches are removable if you wanted to make her into a camper?
So why am I selling her?....... Well, I've got to the time, when I need a break from looking after her. And it's time to let someone else with a young family use her for days out, moving half the U13s football team to matches, delivering sofas and beds to children up in Bristol at Uni etc. etc. I will miss her. But I'm sure Mrs R would like to go on some sunny holidays/ cruises etc, and my picnic basket and day out to Padstow or St Ives in Beryl won't cut it any more.
