1932 Lagonda 16/ 80. This car is in very good original condition and is regularly taken on trips of over 100 miles along the Kent/ Sussex coast without any problems.
It is fitted with an Alvis Speed 20 syncromesh gearbox which, in my opinion, vastly improves the driving experience (the original box comes with the car).
Recent work includes rebuilds of the starter motor, dynamo and water pump. An electronic fuel pump was also recently fitted. The Alvis gearbox was serviced a few years ago and the oil in the rear axle changed.
About a year ago all five road wheels were rebuilt with new tyres, tubes etc.
The car has a virtually new tonneau and all side screens.
The car comes with a workshop manual and a great deal of technical information.
There is a huge amount of history with the car much of it relating to an RAF Bomber Command Squadron Leader who owned the car during WWII.
The car is a stunning design and makes passers by as well as the driver smile. It is incredible fun to drive.
The identities of all owners of the car are known apart from the first who was an RAF pilot but not known. As stated, a great deal of history comes with the car.
It is registered with the Lagonda club who I spoke to before buying the vehicle ten years ago.
