The X-Pack is the most powerful version of the original Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Introduced in 1986, this ‘supercar’ was only made till 1989. Only 137 ‘X Packs’ were ever produced at a rate of one per week.
The X-Pack gets its name from the four Weber carburetors applied to the 5. 3 liter engine, but it also relies on high compression Cosworth pistons, Zagato camshafts and larger intake manifold to achieve 410 Ps. An incredible number for its time, which meant the top speed of this ‘muscle car’ licked the magic 200 mph!
The brute force is carried out on the outside, with a large front vallance, a ‘power bulge’ in the bonnet, a closed-up radiator grill, wider arches and sexy Ronal 16’’ wheels.
This example is presented in the classic combination of Balmoral Green Metallic with black hide. It was built for the 1986 Paris Motor Show and was later uprated to 1990 specifications, by Aston Martin. It is one of only 27 cars built with a manual gearbox and left-hand drive!
With two owners from new and only 36, 000 kms on the odometer this rare car is in very good condition. It was never restored but was always garaged and has full-service history and manuals.
