During this period the car was still designed by Henrik Fisker, before he moved on to other ventures. It’s not an overly flashy sports car, yet it remains undeniably distinctive.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage, often referred to as the “baby Aston”, is compact, agile and remarkably powerful. Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 4. 3-litre V8 producing around 380 horsepower, sending power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox and a rear-mounted transaxle for near-perfect weight distribution. With almost 17 pints of British-engineered muscle under the bonnet, it delivers an exhilarating driving experience, accelerating from 0–60 mph in just under 5 seconds and reaching a top speed of around 175 mph.
This 2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a particularly rare example. Finished in the exclusive Ghillies Green - a colour chosen only 146 times between 2006 and 2018 - and paired with an Obsidian Black interior, it presents as a stylish and characterful British sports car. So fond of the car was he that he imported it to the UK when he moved over in 2021.
