This absolutely drop dead gorgeous 1965 Mustang Fastback has now arrived with us
Walkaround video: - details above
This thing is stunning, turned heads everywhere on my test drive
This car FLIES. The power delivery is wonderful and plenty of it. Handling is great! I took her on a few mile road with some twisties and she was as sure footed as any 65/ 66 I have driven. I dare say it may have embarrassed by 66 GT350 thats now back in the USA.
I have done some inspecting to try and confirm GT and most importantly she has the dual exhaust mounts under the rear seat as well as the stamped curved flange under the speedometer in the dashboard (this is a very hard item to "fake" in making a fake GT. The owner, The owners dad (well respected Mustang guy in the UK ) and now myself believe this is a real GT. Since Ford destroyed all documentation on 65/ 66 cars there is no definitive way to prove a GT. But the most GT specific details you find the more likely its the real deal
New black paint
A nice bunch of receipts are being forwarded to me for items purchased for the car
Styled steel wheels
Of course the 289 V8 A code (requirement for GT)
C4 automatic
Front Disks (requirement for GT)
Dual through the valence GT exhaust (requirement for GT)
Bench front seat, super comfortable with the arm rest
Five gauge cluster as per GT
As per the owners father, that is a real 66 GT350 wood wheel. Nice bit of history to chat to folks at the shows about
Rally pack
Deluxe pony "wood" steering wheel.
Fold down rear seat
New floors
Fog lights (requirement for GT) Owner said all the wiring checked out for the fog lights when he was removing things for restoration
