Motodrome are pleased to offer this exceptional, low mileage, low owner example of one of our favourite 1980’s luxury cars – a Jaguar Sovereign 4. 2 Automatic, finished in Cranberry Red Metallic with full Doeskin leather and walnut trim
These late iterations of the Jaguar XJ6 have a timeless elegance that seems lacking in the later post 1987 XJ40, and still look stylish today. And they’re the last Jaguar to be fitted with the legendary XK straight-six engine.
Usefully, this one isn’t fitted with a sunroof, so a) more headroom for taller drivers, and b) one less rust trap to worry about.
Fitted with the correct pepperpot alloys, automatic transmission, climate control, electric windows, central locking, part-electric seats, trip computer, headlamp wipers, and period stereo.
This one has a superb provenance. Supplied new by TWR Jaguar in Coventry (it still has the dealer sticker in the rear window), it lived in it’s spiritual home of Coventry all it’s life until 2022, as the managing director’s car of a machine tool company.
V5 shows just one previous owner as above.
Odometer reading 52000 miles, and it’s overall condition more than supports that – it’s quite lovely.
Comes with a big file of history including the original service book with 7 main dealer stamps in it, 1 further stamp, old MOT’s back to 1987, and various bills. Last serviced at 50790m in August
