We are very pleased to offer an absolutely awesome 2003 BMW E46 M3 SMG. Finished in Phoenix Yellow with a colour coded hard top. Only 213 were ever produced in this specification making it very rare indeed. If you are looking at this listing, you have either owned one these amazing cars like me and want another or are about to fulfil an ambition, whichever it is you will not be disappointed as the E46 M3 is widely regarded as the best M car ever produced and an awesome experience. This particular example has been cherished and is accompanied with a comprehensive service history that stretches right back to day one. It has all of its original handbooks, two packs in total, fully stamped service book and a large file of receipts. It has a full BMW main dealer history up until 2015 and has been cared for by specialists since. It also has all of the original discs for sat nav and software updates and the spare key. Excellent provenance and a detailed service history are key elements to happy M3 ownership and this example has both.
On the road is where the experience starts, The 3. 2 straight six just sings and encourages you to push on, the more you do, the better the sound. Power is instant, just drop it down a gear or two, listen for the down shift and off you go. This M3 has has the all important SMG gear selector actuator replacement carried in 2021 by Burch Motor Works in Christchurch and since then the pump has also been replaced so the system works perfectly. They have also maintained the car regardless of cost in the last few years giving its lucky new owner the confidence to just drive and enjoy. The handling is fantastic, it sits on a set of nineteen inch option alloys that have been refurbished, with two new rear tyres and Eibach shocks and springs that give it a slightly lower stance but very comfortable ride. Either way you will grinning from ear to ear.
The interior is very well presented and has all of the options available at the time, the most notable is the colour coded dash which really sets it apart. It also has black Nappa leather, heated memory seats, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, electric auto dipping mirrors, wide screen satelite navigation, 6 CD auto changer, analogue TV, 8 speaker sound system, AC. Sport and auto modes, adaptive shift modes and centre arm rest. As you can see it has a colour coded hard top with the original stand and bag and the convertible roof is in very good condition.
This M3 is very well presented with gleaming virtually blemish free paintwork. It belies its 21 year vintage very well and always attracts lots of admiration. It is certainly not a perfect trailer queen but it offers its new owner peace of mind, a comprehensive service history and all of the extras. It has a long no advisory MOT and will be sold with a full service ready to make you smile. It is also offered at an excellent price.
