I'm selling my 504 v6 injection phase 2. In total, less than 1800 were produced (phase 2 and 3). There were even fewer with chrome bumpers because from 1980 (phase 3) they received plastic bumpers. This is one of the few surviving cars. It was sold new in Geneva in February 1979. It will be 46 years old in a month's time.
I bought it 4 years ago from a private owner in Pays de Gex. He had imported it from Switzerland. So it stayed in the same area.
The bodywork looks good but it's in its original state (old restoration). The mechanics, in particular the running gear, were overhauled in 2022 with complete restoration of: - the brakes (discs, pads, hoses and calipers) - the steering rack - the springs and dampers - all the front and rear silent blocks - the fuel system - the complete stainless steel exhaust system Inside, the front seats were also redone by a saddler and I fitted 3-point belts in the rear seats for the children.
I've covered 5000 kms with it in 4 years and it's a really comfortable car, easy to handle thanks to the Bosch injection, power steering and BV5. What's more, it's reliable and handles very well.
NB: I fitted it with 505 gti 15" wheels that I had repainted in Epoxi (in the photos). The design is identical to the original TRXs but these modern tyres are more efficient and much cheaper than the TRXs. I also have the original TRX rims with 4 tyres in very good condition from 2019.
