Fall under the spell of this Nissan Figaro, the star of classic car gatherings. This car is in excellent condition. It has had regular maintenance and has less than 115, 000 km on the clock.
Its neo-style design is inspired by the cars of the 50s. It's very easy to handle, with a convertible top that tilts with one hand into the upper part of the boot, leaving a lower part free for a few small items of luggage. Pale Aqua is one of four pastel colours in the catalogue. Japanese philosophy led the designer to choose one colour for each season. This one symbolises summer. The luxurious interior features high-quality leather seats (reinforced a few years ago), an airco and the very first mass-produced CD player. The Figaro was not launched until 1991, and then only in Japan (hence the right-hand steering wheel, as the car is driven on the left). It was initially a great commercial success. From the 8, 000 units initially planned, production eventually climbed to 20, 000, and the car could be bought... as long as you had a winning lottery ticket in your hand! It has won over a number of stars, including Eric Clapton and Amy Winehouse. Under the bonnet, a 1000cc turbocharged petrol engine mated to an automatic gearbox produces 76bhp, more than enough for a leisurely drive.
The car boasts a number of charming little details, including the Japanese sticker of the selling dealership 'Nissan Prince Kanagawa', a business that still exists today. The asking price is in line with that of a car in very good condition, with a few signs of wear and tear that are logical for a car of its age. Proof of its authenticity is the fact that this car was once registered in Belgium for the historic technical inspection, which exempts it from any periodic inspection (except in the case of a sale). Visible in the Liège region (B).
