Description
The standard MG A didn’t satisfy some 1950s enthusiastic drivers so it was clear a more powerful version was required
So the twin cam was introduced to the range in 1958 and offered a cross flow cylinder head in alloy and circa 110 bhp, disc brakes all round and Dunlop racing style knock on wheels
It proved immediately popular and around 2000 were built, most lhd and many were raced
This beautiful example was built in 1959 and exported to Australia, finished from new in Iris blue as confirmed in the Heritage certificate
She was subsequently restored and then exported to UK in 2015 and since then being well maintained and presents beautifully today.
There’s a good history file, and she has been set up well for regular use and on the road, is a very exciting car with a feel of a period 1950s racer with the high revving and lusty twin-cam engine singing away.
