Mercedes offered the R170 SLK with a variety of engines. The most desirable being the 3. 2 Litre V6 only available in the SLK 320 between 2000 and 2004. This produced 215 BHP with a 0-60 time of 6. 9 seconds. This combined with rear wheel drive and a short wheel base makes it a fantastic car to drive and a true sportscar. The SLK was responsible for the rebirth of the small sportscar and influenced an array of new generation hardtop convertibles.
The car that we have available is a sought-after Mercedes Benz SLK320 with the V6 engine and 5 speed automatic gearbox. With just 2 former keepers it has covered just 44, 000 miles. It has a full-service history with 18 stamps all either from the supplying dealer or a prominent specialist.
Supplied new by Jacksons Mercedes Benz of St Peters, Jersey. This particular example is finished to a very high specification with options including heated electric seats, heated mirrors, alloy wheels, adjustable steering column, twin bonnet bumps exclusive to the SLK320 and the extremely rare wood design Eucalyptus Wood/ Leather steering wheel.
The car is proudly finished in Metallic Brilliant Silver paint, the quintessential colour for one of these cars. The exterior is in impressive condition and is rust and dent free. It is very sharp all round.
The Interior is full Anthracite Leather, the seats are superb and show little signs of wear. Smart wooden trim adorns the centre console as well as the Steering wheel, Gear Stick and Doors. Slight blemishes are visible to the black centre console the only negative in an otherwise exceptional interior.
Mechanically the car is flawless, driving beautifully with no noticeable flaws as would be expected from a car with such a service history. All the electronics including the famous Metal folding roof work perfectly every time. The engine bay and boot compartment are both immaculate and appear factory fresh.
The car comes complete with 12 Months MOT, full-service history, all its original books, first aid kit, unused spare wheel, factory toolkit and wheel locking nut. Whilst the car is still Channel Island registered, all duties have been paid and the car will be registered in the name of the new owner.
