Description
This is a superb example of a late Discovery 2. Registered in 2005, the vehicle has spent most of its life in Japan. It was imported to the UK in 2018 with 78, 700 km (49, 000 miles) showing on the clock, with no rust or signs of wear.
The current owner has had the speedometer changed to MPH (from KPH) and installed an original tape / radio player to restore the vehicle to its original look.
The underside of the vehicle was de-rusted and wax-oiled in 2021. It would benefit from having it done again to keep it in top condition. The vehicle has done no towing.
As can be seen from the photos, there is some streaking of the paint finish at the front of the roof, and a very small section of the same on the bonnet. Please contact seller for more detailed photos.
The vehicle has been driven just 21, 500km (13, 350 miles) in the UK, mostly on tarmac roads, with a small amount of mileage on slate tracks.
PLEASE NOTE
a) The engine management warning light has an irritating habit of going on and off. After the vehicle's last MOT (Dec 2024) , the light stayed off for several months, but has come back on recently, for no particular reason! There were three advisories on the latest MOT: i) four brake pipes "corroded, covered in grease or other material" ii) oil leak, "but not excessive" iii) slightly-worn bushes on both front shock absorbers.
b) The odometer is in kilometres, not miles.
Overall this is a clean, well-looked after vehicle, in excellent condition both inside and out. It's a joy to drive with its high driving position and good looks, and has cruise control.

First registered in UK: 01/ 06/ 2018Due to having spent 13 years in Japan, this vehicle has been kept in immaculate condition and has barely any rust on the underside, and no rust elsewhere.
The vehicle has never been used as a working vehicle, so is more or less immaculate on the inside, and the paintwork and alloy wheels are in near perfect condition (with just some streaks on the front of the roof and the bonnet, only visible from close up).
The automatic gearbox has a Sport mode, which is great if you want to accelerate faster and have more responsive driving. For the more relaxed motorist, cruise control is a nice feature.
Finally, who doesn't love that high driving position and feeling like the King of the Road?
