Bespoke built 1983 Mini Stage 3 1293cc with a huge specification.
Purchased 4 years ago for £10000 as a standard Mini Mayfair with 35000 on the clock.
Then a 2 1/ 2 year total restoration and approximately £24000 later is this outstanding car that we have on offer today.
The engine build alone was carried out at “mates rates” and was £5500 and would have been circa £8k

Engine:
1293cc Paul Inch race motor (covered approx 500 miles), new block, Twin 1. 5” SU carbs - fully rebuilt, Omega forged pistons, New Stage 3 cylinder head, Aldon distributor, 286 camshaft, alloy radiator, braided and fletcher hose kit, Retroshop engine upper and lower engine steadies, lightened flywheel and clutch, LCB manifold, Maniflow competition megaphone silenced exhaust, electronic fuel pump, rebuilt gear box, race gear setup, welded central oil pick up, gearbox fully balanced. KAD short shift gear selector. Full engine dress up kit. Engine running on Motul 20w60 race oil.
New AP racing front disc conversion, mintex pads, rose jointed suspension rebuild, new Gaz adjustable suspension all round, new rear minifin spaced drums, rear hi-lo suspension kit, front adjustable tie bars - poly bushed.
Engine fully run in on Dyno - producing 115 bhp at 7, 000 rpm.
Dyno print with Clive Atthowe at 103bhp at 6, 350 rpm at the wheels which was done as after engine install timing was slightly out following install - not done as a power run.
Interior:
Full Cobra interior, including classic seats with headrests, door cards front and rear, rear bench seat cover to match, new headliner, Newton Commercial carpets, carbon fibre style dash with gloveboxes, new central 130 mph Speedo, new smiths temp and oil gauges, new top and lower dash rails retrimmed in leather with red stitching, rear aluminium show cage, new rear shelf cover, Vibe 6 inch speakers, Calibre Bluetooth stereo, pod mounted TIM rev counter, Retroshop steering column drop, button surround and heater controls, alloy handbrake cover, alloy pedals with replica Paddy Hopkirk accelerator pedal, flocked heater box and steering column, new interior light, new indicator / wiper stalks, chrome interior mirror, new red seatbelts, aluminium door furniture, inner and outer chrome window trims. Full Optimise Automotive boot liner kit in red. New battery. Dash fully rewired and all electrics checked by motor electrical engineer.
Body / exterior:
New floors, sills, front wings, scuttle, front panel, boot floor, reconditioned subframes.
Front mk1 Wavy style grill, large Wipac 7. 5” spot lights, LED halo front lights, new chrome headlight surrounds, clear front indicators, stainless front and back bumpers, front bonnet strap, new badges front and rear, 12x6 new OS4 John Brown alloy wheels, deep dish fitted with brand new Nankang Tyres (less than 100 miles), gloss black Group 2 arches, chrome trim to body, white roof repainted just prior to purchase, rear updated fog light, new Mk2 rear lights, Monza petrol cap, new front screen with chrome inset, gloss black side stripes, short aluminium pressed plates, Retrosport front tow eye, new black low level and roof gutter trim, new black front wipers, bullet wing mirrors.
The finished product is an incredible Mini which has been built to the highest level and driving superbly.
Comes with a spare set of replica Minilite wheels and tyres which would be beneficial for mot purposes but not essential as it is mot and tax exempt.
