This car has recently been imported from Arizona so is a rust free example that was always in the USA before that time. It was restored by the previous owner in the 1980s and therefore has the 'patina' so beloved of antique and car dealers. That previous owner upgraded the engine to a 1900cc Ford Pinto and gearbox, installed disc front brakes and an MGA rear axle so that the car is well able to cope with modern traffic. It is a pleasant little car to drive and I used it for a few years in Arizona when I holidayed there. I now have too many old cars to cope with at my age so need to sell. As it is a LHD it might suit either someone from England who is a regular continental visitor or someone from the continent itself. The car has a brand new double duck hood which at the time of writing is not yet fitted, and the only cosmetic need otherwise is for new carpets as it has none at present. The previous owner preferred bare boards in dusty Arizona! The car has been properly registered in this country but has not been used due to me having too many other vehicles as I have said. I am open to a small degree of haggling but will not accept anything too far from the asking price as you would have to go a long way to find a sounder TD. I guess it is not a car fro the purist but it served me very well for several years in Arizona and I enjoy upgrades rather than condemning them. A possible buyer has asked about the underside of the wing in the photo, thinking it rust. It is a mixture of Arizona sand and road tar and I have cleaned a section to show the I damaged paint beneath - see new photo.
