This 1988 Mercedes G Wagon 280GE offers a tasteful opportunity for recommissioning and TLC to any discerning collector or enthusiast. The paintwork overall presents well, after recent treatment of a full 2 stage machine polish. There are small signs of cracking on various panels, alongside some peeling around the windscreen and the already mentioned body rust, needing attention on both lower rear quarters and lower front wings. The roof has also shown vulnerability to some fading. All exterior trims and arches present to a high standard, in need of no repairs/ replacement. All 4 tyres are cracked, slowly deflating and in need of replacement.
The interior most definitely is a strong point of this G Wagon, showing minimal age and mileage expected wear and tear to various plastic trims. All electrics work as they should, displaying no issues to any gauges or lights, with all 4 electric windows operating problem free. There is no tears or rips to any of front, rear and boot seats. No components are missing, everything is there and ready for a potential ‘tidy up’ if desired.
Powered by a petrol 2. 7 Inline 6 and Automatic Gearbox, no hesitation or issues are shown when starting, running and driving besides the above mentioned leaks.
