Military long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz 300GD, substantially rebuilt in 2015.
The vehicle has low mileage. It is equipped with a modern 6-speed manual gearbox, which was factory-new when fitted, as was the 3. 0-litre 6-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 108 kW. The G-Class has additionally been fitted with a bespoke chassis featuring Koni Heavy-Track dampers.
All conversion work was carried out to the highest standards and with meticulous care by specialists from GZR G-Manufaktur. GZR G-Manufaktur, based in Sprakensehl, has specialised exclusively since 1999 in professional restoration and rebuilding of G-Class vehicles.
The rebuild commenced in late 2014 based on a Mercedes-Benz prototype bodyshell. The costs relating solely to the bodywork rebuild are detailed in two invoices totalling €13, 600 and €8, 500 respectively. This foundational work already included installation of a new 6-speed gearbox. This was followed by fitting of the factory-new 3-litre 6-cylinder turbodiesel engine, type 603960 (second-generation 300 TD), including the turbocharger with a new injection pump (an additional €15, 500).
