We are excited to present this incredibly rare UK MG TDC in outstanding condition following a previous restoration.
Only a total of 1, 710 Mark II TD's were built, with an even smaller number of these being the "C" (Competition) variant (51), and a mere 45 being produced for the UK market.
This particular TDC has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration which included a complete new body tub from the Hutson Motor Car Company, an engine, gearbox and back axle rebuild, with the SU carbs also being overhauled by Burlen fuels.
There are some wonderful upgrades that have been completed which include a 5 speed gearbox conversion that not only helps you keep up with modern day traffic but also significantly lowers the engine revs preserving engine life and giving you a greater MPG.
Front disc brakes have been fitted to greatly enhance the stopping power compared to the original drum brakes.
A bespoke hood and side screens were recently added which fit to the car beautifully. The craftsmanship that has gone into the making of these is quite remarkable, we could possibly go as far as saying it's the best hood we've come across on a T Type.
The history folder still retains the original brown paper registration log book, boasting lots of purchase receipts and other invoices.
The car has been cherished by it's last owner since 2010, covering minimal mileage and has always being kept in a warm dry environment.
It is a simply beautiful car that must be seen.
