Description
In Old English White with a red interior
Purchased in 1997 by the last owner, this pretty TD was restored some time ago and is lovely mellowed condition.
It was supplied new in the UK and retains its original registration number UMG555, its original colour being black. The extensive history file all the way back to the early nineteen eighties shows it as red by 1981, and it was changed to Old English White as part of its restoration in 2001. It is a lovely colour scheme with the red interior. The car has been the subject of an extensive maintenance program with constant care and attention.
The bodywork has excellent panel gaps and the underside is very good. The interior and weather gear have gentle wear and paintwork has the odd blemish. As part of the ongoing care, the engine and gearbox were rebuilt some years ago although have only covered a few thousand miles since.
A stainless exhaust is fitted and the TD also has a rear shock absorber conversion, flashing indicators and halogen headlights, making it a bit more usable in modern traffic.
The MG drives nicely and looks very pretty, but it's not so pristine that it can't be used.
