Description
1929 Ford Model A Roadster with Rumble Seat. RARE Right Hand Drive.
V5C Present and Correct.
A super opportunity for the serious Vintage Ford enthusiast to acquire a '29 A Roadster with interesting history. Essentially standard with very good patina.
The cars components were manufactured in 1929 and sent to their Canadian assembly plant, probably in Walkerville, where it was assembled with right hand drive for the Canadian market.
At some time thereafter it was shipped to North Helvetia, near to Montevideo in Uruguay, where it resided until being shipped to New York in the late 1980's.
We understand it was exported to the Isle of Man in the early noughts, then to Devon where it had a splendid retirement.
Our intention was to mildly hot rod the car but after starting disassembly we just hadn't the heart to continue, it being a fabulously original car with a lovely history, although of course we can never be too sure of its originality or the restoration work carried out during its 96 year history.
The car has a very good canvas top, and a brand new one still in its wrapper. Brand new side screens also included.
It is all steel with a strong 4 banger engine with original carb setup.
Seats have been re-upholstered at some point in the past and in lovely condition.
It retains its 6V electrics.
Now we need space and she has to go, but it's a nice example of an in demand car.
We are selling as is and so it will take 2 or 3 weeks for the new owner to reassemble, start up and detail.
Trailer delivery can be arranged if required.
