1965 Austin Healey Sprite MK III 1098cc. British Racing Green with Black Ambla upholstery and white piping. The Austin-Healey Sprite is a small open sports car produced in the United Kingdom from 1958 to 1971. The Sprite was announced to the press in Monte Carlo by the British Motor Corporation on 20 May 1958, two days after that year's Monaco Grand Prix. The Sprite Mark III was announced in March 1964. It was also marketed as the MG Midget Mark II. Differences between the two were again restricted to minor trim detailing. Although still 1098 cc, the engine had a stronger block casting, and the size of the crankshaft main bearings was increased to two inches (engine code 10CC). A truly beautiful example of the classic Healey Sprite, recently treated to a full professional restoration with incredible attention to detail. This car is a rare find, having had just two previous keepers from new, and now presented in exceptional condition throughout. It was stripped back to bare metal and fully re-sprayed. All minor dents and imperfections professionally rectified. New windscreen fitted during restoration. Floor pans in superb condition. New chrome bumpers, all genuine MG Heritage parts. Wire wheels refurbed and in excellent condition with brand new tyres all round. Retains original interior, which is in fantastic condition. New carpets professionally fitted.
