1985 VW T25 Westfalia Campervan – Loved, Upgraded & Adventure-Ready
Meet Tallulah, our treasured LHD 1985 VW T25 Westfalia – a fully functional, mechanically sound, and thoughtfully upgraded camper with bags of charm and capability. We purchased her in the Netherlands in March 2014 from a member of staff at Kieft & Klock, whose personal van it was and then drove her back and registered her in the UK…. Tallulah has been part of the family since, and a real memory maker for us and our kids as they’ve grown up. She has proven her worth on numerous trips around the UK, across Europe, and the Alps, covering approx 43, 000km (26, 810 miles) over last 11. 5 years, so only ~2. 5K miles per year.
ENGINE & MECHANICALS (142, 213km [~89K miles] on odometer, 99, 317km [62K miles] when purchased [1st MOT]
Fully renovated and resprayed around 2011/ 12, this van features a strong and reliable drivetrain with Epytec big brake kit and Bilstein B6/ shock/ Schenk spring upgrade in last few years):
* 1. 9 TDI (1Z) engine from a 1996 VW Golf, mildly mapped for ~110–120bhp
* Dogleg 5-speed gearbox — comfortably cruises at 65–70mph and goes uphills!

Tallulah is a 40-year-old van, mechanically sound, and despite a full respray in 2011/ 12, whilst she has been stored in a garage since we’ve owned her, she is not a “garage queen” or “show pony” and has been used as intended - for adventures. She is ready to bring many more to her new owners, just as she has brought to us over the last 11 years. Our kids have grown up with her and have the best memories.
She’s ready to drive, camp, and have adventures in. She’s been well-loved, well-used, and always maintained. Only selling as life has moved on, and it's time for the next owner to enjoy Tallulah as we have and make their own memories.
