Description
Land Rover Defender 90 200 Tdi Nut & Bolt Restoration
Galvanised Chassis, Genuine factory 200 Tdi Defender with the original engine. Lovingly restored by Lee Karkoszka for himself. Lee was on the technical team at the World Rally Championships for Colin McRae between 2002 and 2007 when Colin sadly died. The restoration of this Land Rover featured in The October 2024 edition of Classic Land Rover magazine.
Vehicle first registered 5th August 1991. This vehicle has been subject to a compete nut and bolt restoration. This vehicle is an original Uk supplied vehicle. 3 Previous Owners from new, the vehicle comes with 2 sets of keys.
It will also be supplied fully serviced by ourselves and given a full 12 month mot. The vehicle has now covered 113, 000 miles.
This included the vehicle being stripped down to the chassis and has been restored onto a new Richards' galvanised chassis and galvanised bulkhead so this vehicle will now be around for many more years. Many new parts replaced or refurbished to list some, all new suspension, brakes all round including callipers, discs, brake pads, wheel bearings. The vehicle has had all new lights, all door, window and roof seals replaced, new nuts and bolts on the whole body.
The body is also excellent having had a bare metal respray. This has been a very thorough restoration. This vehicle is all original inside and all the dash, seats and headlining are in immaculate condition. 3 seats in the front makes this vehicle more desirable than the later Defenders which only had 2. Matching rear bench seats can also be fitted which would make this a 7 seater Land Rover.
The vehicle comes complete with a well documented file of the restoration, invoices and pictures. It will be supplied with a full 12 months mot and will come fully serviced.
This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a factory 200 Tdi. Unique in such highly restored condition. I think this is by far one of the best, examples on the market.
You will have to go a long way to find a better vehicle.
If you are an investor you will already known the growing importance of original un-messed with condition for classic cars. This vehicle could not be restored to this standard for the asking price, this represents great value for money and is ready to drive away and enjoy.
VALUE
Low mileage, history, condition, and originality will contribute greatly to the value of any classic. Anybody can restore a Land Rover to a certain standard however you can't make anymore-original low mileage, low ownership vehicles and so for that reason these vehicles are becoming increasingly harder to find and so any opportunity to buy one shouldn't be missed.
Anybody is more than welcome to come, view and test drive. Vehicle is highly recommended to see the detail and quality of the restoration.
