The auction will commence at 10am, and will be held and conducted from Charterhouse, The Long Street Salerooms, Sherborne, DT9 3BS. Viewing at the property near Dorchester will take place on Monday 8th September & Tuesday 9th September, between 9. 30am-4. 30pm.

A time warp car with 2, 622 recorded miles from new
Bought by a Scottish school teacher in 1939 it went into storage with the outbreak of WWII at 398 miles due to petrol rationing
It emerged in 1975 and purchased by a mechanic
A couple of owners later and an American tourist spotted the Vauxhall, bought it and had it flown home
It was repainted due to scratches sustained in transportation and this is thought to have been the only other work carried out apart from usual servicing
This car was featured in The Scotsman 1976, the Berwick Bulletin 1978 and The Arizona Republic North Phoenix Extra 1984 newspapers, copies of which are in the file
Brian found the car for sale and repatriated this little Vauxhall, no doubt with memories of his H-Type he bought in 1961
