1973 MG Midget MkIII in Bronze Yellow, restored. 1275cc For Sale
MkIII Round arch model Midget in excellent condition.
Lady owner/ driver for the 41 years. Always loved and cared for during this time. I supplied this Midget to the last owner of six years who at 87 is finding it difficult to get in now hence me buying it back. He converted it to wire wheels.
Reconditioned engine and gearbox. Runs on Super Unleaded.
Major restoration by Tim Kelly MG Specialist in Cornwall in 2008 and less than 3, 000 miles since. This included any necessary bodywork and a full repaint in its original Colour of Bronze Yellow which is now very rare. New carpets and hood were also fitted along with numerous other parts. Fully waxoiled underneath. Invoice available.
The body and paintwork is still excellent, no signs of any rust or dents etc. Front bumper was replaced when dented in the past and the rears look original and in good condition. Exhaust is a full stainless steel system with the correct two silencer boxes.
An immobiliser has been added.
The 1275cc engine pulls extremely well, oil pressure is excellent. Gearbox is lovely and smooth in all gears. My girlfriend and I drove this Midget up from Cornwall which was 200 miles. It was an extremely pleasurable experience cruising nicely on the motorway.
Interior wise the seats are excellent without any rips, tears or splits, the same with the interior panels. As the carpets and hood were replaced these are still excellent.
It will have a full service by us and will come with a new 12 months MOT for peace of mind. (Officially now exempt from MOT’s).
Comes with a full tonneau and the hood cover, stainless steel boot rack.
