Description
The Alpina B3S Convertible is one of those cars that manages to balance everyday usability with something genuinely special. Finished in Titan Silver with black Nappa leather, it’s a subtle but unmistakably Alpina machine – complete with the trademark 18-inch wheels, pinstripes, and Alpina interior touches.
Power comes from a 3. 3-litre straight six producing 305bhp, paired to a 5-speed automatic gearbox. It’s quick enough to be exciting, but what stands out most is how smooth and effortless it feels to drive. Drop the roof on a sunny day and you’ve got a car that can cover miles in comfort, but still put a smile on your face when the road gets interesting.
This example comes well equipped – heated seats, HIFI speaker system with professional navigation with TV, cruise control, auto xenon lights, air con, CD changer and even a factory hardtop for when the weather turns. It’s been clearly looked after, with the paintwork and interior showing only the kind of light, honest wear you’d expect from a car that’s been enjoyed but cared for. Recently treated to a new thermostat and housing, a fresh set of Uniroyal tyres all round, a new Bosch battery, and refurbished wheels.
With only a limited number ever built, the B3S Convertible is a rare sight on the road, and it’s easy to see why it’s so well regarded. A proper modern classic – one you can jump into and drive just as Alpina intended.
