Description
For sale is an exceptional Vauxhall 27HP Special project with a 3. 3-litre six-cylinder engine. The chassis frame has already been fully rebuilt, optimised and powder-coated. The following work was carried out, among others:
- Braking system: fully overhauled, including new brake linings and brake cables
- Front and rear axles: renewed with bearings
- Front axle: new kingpins fitted
- Gearbox: 5-speed T9, fully overhauled
- Engine: six-cylinder, fully rebuilt and power-optimised
- Steering: fully overhauled
- Suspension: leaf springs strengthened and aligned
The panel work was carried out by a coachbuilder in the Netherlands who specialises in pre-war vehicles and relied on drawings from 1930s cars. Particular attention was paid to the generous interior space – even drivers over two metres tall can sit comfortably. For easier access, a door was added on the driver's side.
Completion of the project can be arranged on request. Alternatively the vehicle can be purchased in its current state. Remaining work essentially comprises final assembly, painting, electrical installation, interior fitting and fine-tuning, with the possibility of further customization if desired.
A comprehensive documentation and numerous photos of the work carried out so far are available. Once roadworthy, this Vauxhall 27HP Special is ideal for prestigious events such as the Gran Premio Nuvolari, Arlberg Classic, Baiersbronn Classic, La Leggenda di Bassano and many other multi-day rallies. Participation in events such as the Belmot Oldtimer Grand Prix or the ADAC Nürburgring Classic is also conceivable. Furthermore it is well suited for long-distance trips and tours.
