These are a real sleeper at the moment, people dont realise how cool they are! This is a 1975 MGB GT V8, Factory supplied and RHD, Finished in Teal Blue with Beautiful Cream Leather Interior, she is showing 72k Miles on the clock and is in a lovely condition, obviously much restoration work has been carried out over the years and she drives great and is ready for regular use!
MG enthusiasts have Kent-based engineer Ken Costello to thank for the existence of the V8-engined MGB. In 1970 Costello began selling cars converted to take the 3. 5-litre Rover V8, their favourable reception prompting British Leyland to follow suit. Considerably quicker than the four-cylinder 'B', the V8 could reach 60mph in around eight seconds and had a top speed of 125mph, respectable figures even today. They were almost the same weight as a regular GT and almost 100kg lighter that the C, it was a truly rounded car, Introduced in August 1973 and built only in GT coupé form, the MGB V8 was supplied exclusively to the UK market. A total of 2, 591 cars were manufactured before the model was withdrawn in 1976, making the it one of the rarest and most sought-after of post-war MGs. With excellent parts supply, modest insurance costs, and simple and reliable components, they are becoming very much sought after.
We have a large history folder with the car with invoices going back over 20 years, showing regular and constant maintanence and restoration, she is in a very nice condition indeed and drives perfectly! There is a small area of bubbling in the bottom corner of the drivers door we couldn't see anything else, this is one of the cheapest out there and probably one of the nicest!
