The Bultaco Sherpa was a revolutionary trials motorcycle developed in Spain in 1964 in collaboration with trials rider Sammy Miller. Its lightweight, two-stroke design made it superior to heavier British four-strokes, dominating the sport and leading to eight World Trials Championships wins in the 1970sThe Model 150 was introduced alongside the larger Model 151 (350cc).
This example has been enjoyed by our vendor, who is only selling, as he has decided to hang up his trialling boots after a lifetime of riding
The bike had a full engine rebuild at Poole Moto in 2022 with a rebuilt crank and seals. The bores were checked and found to be in good condition (£750 invoice supplied). Since then the bike has regularly been started and run up to temperature, but has had minimal use since. In addition, it has just had a new front tyre fitted
A matching numbers bike, it's supplied with a current V5C (correctly classed as Historic) and dating certificates from both the VMCC and the Bultaco Club. In addition there are numerous old invoices including many from Sammy Miller, who is reported to have worked on the bike numerous times (servicing etc.)
An excellent example of the much loved Sherpa, reported as running and riding well and ready to be enjoyed
