Today, a Mercedes-Benz 500 E is far more than just a classic – it is one of the most sought-after modern classics with genuine appreciation potential. This 500 E was delivered new in 1992 to a company in Bielefeld, where it was initially used by the owner as a company car. As early as 1993, the vehicle was re-registered to him privately. In 1994, the car was sold to the uncle of the current owner, who first used it privately and, from 1999 onward, registered it under his company. The vehicle was driven regularly and carefully maintained until 2008.
From that point on, usage became very limited, which helped preserve the car’s remarkably original condition. After being inherited by the current owner in 2018, the vehicle has only been driven occasionally – mainly for TÜV inspections and short outings of one to two hours per year.
A key highlight is the exceptionally well-documented history. All servicing has been carried out exclusively by Mercedes-Benz since delivery. Two original service booklets, the original German registration document, as well as numerous invoices and TÜV reports are present, providing a complete and traceable history.
The car remains largely in its original paint. Only the rear passenger-side door and the adjacent rear quarter panel were professionally repainted once due to scratches. Overall, the vehicle presents itself in a highly authentic and unaltered condition – exactly what collectors are looking for.
