Description
This is a fabulous Volkswagen Scirocco, a showroom presented example that has covered just 81, 000 miles from new. It has been converted to a Weber carburettor, a common and well-proven upgrade for these cars, and it starts and drives exceptionally well.
Under its current ownership, the car has undergone an extensive drivetrain and suspension refresh. Works carried out include, but are not limited to, new calipers, Bilstein B4 shock absorbers, Eibach springs, wheel bearings, track rods and ends, anti-roll bar bushes, top mounts, and engine mounts.
The engine was removed and the engine bay carefully tidied. While out, the engine received a comprehensive refresh, including a new timing belt, water pump, rear main seal, and general servicing. The automatic transmission has also been checked over and serviced with fresh oil and a new filter.
The interior presents very well, with minimal wear to the bolsters and carpets. The dashboard, a common area prone to cracking on these models, remains largely intact. The tilt-and-slide sunroof operates exactly as it should.
Most recently, the original alloy wheels have been professionally refurbished and fitted with new tyres. The paintwork presents very well overall; it has been resprayed at some point in its history and shows a few age-related marks, but still maintains a strong, attractive finish.
