The new 2008 V8 Vantage model brought a raft of minor changes, such as Xenon low beams as an option, a new mesh grille, new 19-inch alloy wheels, new taillights featuring 360 LEDs, a new ECU (Emotion Control Unit), the stainless-steel and glass slot on the center stack above the stereo that started the engine, and above it a new HDD-based sat-nav system.
The two high-bolstered bucket seats at the front provided excellent side support for their occupants. At the same time, the driver fronted a slightly refreshed instrument panel featuring large dials for the speedometer and the tachometer flanked by the gauges for the fuel level and the coolant temperature. In addition, the automaker added two Organic Electroluminescence displays on the main dials for additional readouts.
The most significant change were under its skin, a new 4. 7-liter V8 powerhouse, replacing the 4. 3-litre one from the non-facelifted version, and a new Speedshift automatic transmission that sent the power to the rear wheels.
This later May 2013 example, in metallic black with matching black leather, and fitted with the optional 7-speed "Sportshift II" automated manual transmission, has been in current ownership for around 2 years, during which it has been maintained by Chiltern Aston.
