Lot 944

A 1925 Talbot 10/ 23 10hp four-seat tourer.
Reg No. YK 574.
Car No. 19893.
Engine No. 375.
Blue and black with black interior.

In 1903 Clement Talbot Ltd was established in Britain to assemble French Clements in London. Gradually, British made components were incorporated before the first entirely British-made Talbot was introduced in 1906. The 10/ 23 was a British-made version of the French Darracq.

The example offered here has been fully restored by I S Poulson, Talbot specialists in Wickhambrook, and was one of the vendor’s favourite cars to drive. Light and easy on the road, it would make a fine addition to any collector’s stable.
