SUMMARY
An absolutely stunning (and I mean stunning) late example of the very highly regarded W204 C-Class (Facelift) saloon, this is a very special car. Supplied new by Lookers Mercedes, it was bought by a MB Club Member who on taking delivery of it, decided it was far too good to use as a daily car, so initially used it only as a Sunday car and only in good weather. However, the reason why this car is so incredibly well preserved, is that in reality it's only been actually used for four years, and in good weather at that; at just over a year old in 2014, the owner put it into professional storage, and I mean in a proper car storage facility where the car is housed in a rack in a climate and humidity controlled warehouse, where it remained “frozen in time” until 2023, so as a result the car including underside is in absolutely stunning condition. Also, as Genuine MB rubber mats and boot liner have been fitted from new, the interior is also still as new too.
In 2023 after 9 years of ownership, but in reality after just one year of use, the original owner decided to let the car go, so it left storage and was fully recommissioned by an MB Dealership with all fluids (including ATF/ Filter) having been changed. The car was then bought by another MB Club member and a good customer of mine who has only used it for longer trips, and looked after it properly whilst religiously following the recommended maintenance schedules, which have also recently included another gearbox ATF and filter change. He bought this car with an amazing mere 14, 000 miles on the clock and has brought it up to the current mileage. This is actually a very good thing as any gremlins that may have been stored up whilst in storage will have been well and truly “exorcised” by now.
This really is almost like a new W204 C-Class and is also the flagship C350CDI V6 which is one of the ultimate Q-Cars; it’s immensely powerful, in fact the performance is not too far off the pace of the fire breathing C63 AMG. It’s often said “BHP turns heads, but torque turns wheel” and this is a perfect example of that; it boasts a quite impressive 265BHP but that’s just half the story; with a massive torque output of 620NM (considerably more than the C63 AMG) this thing can get to 60mph in a tad under six seconds and onto a limited 155mph; but its the gut wrenching mid-range “ummph” that is as equally impressive as it is addictive, a flick of your right toe will effortlessly launch this car to warp factor 10 in a breath! However, unlike the C63AMG, it will still return almost 50mpg and still falls into a cheaper road tax bracket of £275pa too!
As this car has only been essentially used for four years and has been correctly maintained it’s probably the best W204 C350CDI on offer, it’s one of those rare cars that ticks all the boxes and does everything so well yet doesn’t cost the earth to run. It’s so fabulous to drive and looks the part too. This is a very special car indeed, and I challenge you to find one better. I would love to keep this one myself, but as my wife keeps reminding me, I’m actually in the business of selling cars, not collecting them!
THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
