The F430 hailed the arrival of a whole new generation of Ferrari V8-engined berlinettas. Every inch of the car was inspired by the engineering research carried out at Ferrari’s Gestione Sportiva F1 Racing Division. The result is a highly innovative design characterised by cutting-edge technologies perfected for use on a road-going car.
The F430’s line, created in collaboration with Ferrari’s Head of Design, was inspired by the car’s exceptional engineering. Each styling cue highlighted the aggression and performance of a thoroughbred Ferrari yet respects the functional demands of this kind of car.
The F430’s nose is characterised by two distinctive air intakes that channel air into generously dimensioned radiators that cool the powerful engine. The two intakes are linked at their lower edge by a spoiler that directs the air towards the flat underbody. The F430’s vertically stacked headlights are extremely compact due to the use of Bi-xenon technology. The Enzo Ferrari was the inspiration for much of the rear styling of the F430. The F430 is powered by a 90-degree V8 featuring a flat-plane crank. The 4, 408cc engine produces 465Nm of torque at 5, 250 rpm, and a maximum power output of 490 hp. Top speed where permitted is over 196 mph and 0-62 mph is achieved in just 4. 0 seconds.
Supplied new by Graypaul Ferrari Edinburgh in April 2008, our F430 has enjoyed regular servicing from new. It is complete with leather book pack, spare ignition key and tools. Ready for its next keeper to enjoy it is also offered with a comprehensive written 12-month warranty.
