Description
The Morgan Plus 4 is a sports car produced by the Morgan Motor Company. It is a more powerful and, in the case of the earlier cars, a slightly longer version of the company's previous 4/ 4 model. Plus 4 production ran from 1950 to 1969.
This 1953 Morgan Plus 4 has been subject to a complete ground up restoration. Originally it was built as a LHD model with the earlier TR engine. During the professional restoration it has been changed to RHD, upgraded with the larger 2138cc TR engine, and fitted with upgraded suspension and brakes.
The engine sounds great, it has a full stainless steel exhaust, starts and runs well, and has had good oil pressure.
The drivetrain is in good order, the gears are direct and the clutch smooth, the car handles like it’s on rails and is genuinely a pleasure to drive.
The bodywork was restored during the restoration and is as good as new, the underside is as clean as the top! The paintwork has been finished to a high standard, it isn’t immaculate but does present very well.
The interior was also retrimmed and has no rips or tears. It comes complete with full wet weather gear including side screens.
