Owned by myself since July 2008 this special Giulia is now up for sale for someone else to enjoy as I need space to get on with my next Alfa. Imported from northern Italy around 7 years ago the previous owner had the bodywork restored and a Chris Whelan(a well known Alfa specialist for race cars) race prepared engine fitted. It is at the moment running on twin 40 Dellorto carbs but can also take 45's if you want it to go even faster!!!!It has Colombo+Bariani high lift camshafts fitted and trumpet air filters. Uprated brakes including pipes, Koni yellow shock and lowered suspension. Showing 40, 000 km which I believe to be genuine as the condition of the interior reflects this. There is only one small mark on the front passenger seat, apart from that the interior is in superb condition. The bodywork is also in great condition but has a couple of small rust bubbles coming up. It comes with a sports steering wheel plus the original wood rimmed one.
Recent work carried out includes:new track rod ends and lower balljoints, new chrome wiper arms and blades, new mirrors, refurbed original steel wheels and new hubcaps fitted, rear seatbelts fitted and four michelin tyres. The rear silencer has been removed and replaced with a proper straight through pipe.(sounds BEAUTIFUL!!!)
taxed until July 2013 and M. O. T until July 2013. Valuation three years ago was 10k so taking into account the small bits and peices it could do with I will accept £8500. A real investment for someone as the Giulia Super is becoming more and more desirable especially as this year the model celebrates it's 50th birthday. A real fun car to drive and a real head turner!!!!
