For sale, '83 CX 20 Pallas, 5 speed with optional extras. Finished in 'sable doré' metallic gold. Original condition and MOT July 2016, in daily use.
Interesting model as it's a standard CX Pallas saloon that was ordered with factory extras - Citroen alloys, factory electric sunroof and Pallas leather seats (different from CX GTi and Prestige leather seats). This makes it a rare combination. Extra luxury without the expense of GTi and Prestige costs. Potentially the only CX Pallas left in the UK with these factory extras? CX 20 Pallas is mechanically the same as the more common, economical CX Athena but with better trim and equipment.
Recent upgrades including digital temperature gauge incorporated in the dashboard, rear 3 point seatbelts, upgraded CX Turbo twin optic headlights with relay for the dipped beam - these lights are excellent on unlit roads. Uprated front suspension struts from CX25 model, Pioneer bluetooth, iPod/ Android stereo. New front speakers. Extra sun visors added in rear 1/ 4 windows and behind rear view mirror to help with all the sun we get haha. Alloy 'Momo' style gear knob added recently - gearstick is shorter overall.
Factory tinted glass, central locking, air horn, all-round powered disk brakes, electric front windows, speed-variable power steering, concaved self-cleaning rear window.
In generally 'condition 2' as the bodywork is presentable but close-up has a number of blemishes and minor rust spots: the worst of this is on the bootlid lower edge and is not in rotted state. Bonnet has a few dents on the leading edge; sometimes visible sometimes looks fine. A visible small dent on the off side front wheel arch edge and a couple of little (pellet gun-size) dents on the N/ S rear wing. Interior complete and solid, front seats are aged with 3 bits of leather stitching frayed (leather not damaged) leather treated recently, stitching might be repaired soon, rear seats are near as-new condition.
Great, useable version of the CX with the simple, revvy 1995cc all alloy Douvrin engine with oversquare design and OHC. Well suited to the 5 speed manual 'box and delivers about 27. 5 - 30mpg on premium unleaded. Performs comfortably on the motorway and cruises easily at 70+mph. Recently serviced with new cambelt, oil and air filters, oil flushed and replaced. I've owned it for 2 years and it has been stored both winters. I do not drive classics in the winter!

Recent air filter and LHM fluid and filters.
Comes with spare headlights and spare front seats (velour not leather), spare set of keys and a spare central locking door unit.

Overall, it's a completely solid and original, well-equipped series 1 CX that can be driven with pride as it is or a strong basis for a light restoration.
