The Novamotors produced a 2. 0 litre engine based on the original Toyota engine 2T-G. This was used in the majority of the Formula 3 cars across the champions for many years; this engine was used in Formula 3 Globally; Now the Toyota Novamotor Engine is still used predominately in the Historic F3 races. The racing PFT 2T-G engines or Toyota Novamotor Engine as it was better known, featured 87. 0 mm bore and 84. 0 mm stroke for a 1997 cc displacement. Powered with mechanical injection Bosch / Kugelfischer develops around 170 Hp at 6, 000 rpm with a 12:1 compression ratio.
This engine was owned by the British team that made debut Ayrton Senna and it was given to Team Trivellato who put him on Roberto Ravaglia F3. He was then transferred to the Team RAM of Vicenza which recently sold it to the current owner.
