Description
Actually literally coming out of a barn, this Porsche 911 T dating from 1970 was imported from Italy where it was delivered in its new state, and was put to sleep during almost 20 years in a garage from which we took it out.
After having undertaken and being engaged into some research work relating to its original configuration, we started a complete restoration of the car in Belgium. More than a year’s work and hundreds of working hours were necessary to bring this Porsche to life again, which today is henceforth as beautiful as on its prime day of life.
The engine and the gearbox have been completely reworked and reengineered by a specialist of the brand. Although complete and intrinsically sound, the bodywork was entirely revised by a professional coach-bodybuilder specialized in Porsche cars. An impressive quantity of new spare parts were mounted on the car : new body wings, new floorplates, a new motor cover hood, a new petrol tank, etc. were installed, as well as replacing the bumpers. And all the chrome parts were newly remade. The complete list of all the new spare parts installed would be too long to be listed in detail. The restoration was undertaken without taking in account any limits of costs, so as to obtain an optimum result.
This classic 911 Porsche was repainted in its original colour : Brugundy. The interior saddlery outfit was of course entirely reworked while having regard for and respecting its original beige colour. The pursued objective was to render to this Porsche the glittering it had when it left the factory, now some 46 years ago.
This has now been achieved, and its new owner will thus be able to enjoy the privilege of running in his « new » Porsche 911 T.
Below, one can see the car in its finalized state of rework, as well as when it was taken out of the barn and, later on, during various states of its restoration evolution.
