EXTERIOR
The striking BMW Individual Frozen Silver metallic paint accentuates the muscular form of the F80 saloon, for us a shape that demonstrates proportions that eclipse the Coupe sibling. Carbon fibre is generously adorned to front splitter and trims, mirror caps, rear diffuser and a carbon fibre rear spoiler whilst shadow line trim provides a distinct contrast against the bodywork. The carbon roof features a unique M Power motif that strikes through the off side of the car from front to back.
Exclusively designed M gills in the front wings bear the Jahre log.
INTERIOR
The BMW M3 30 Jahre Edition features an exclusive full leather Merino trim in bi-colour Black/ Fjord Blue with colour-matching contrast seams and an M stripe running through the seat belts.
Electrically adjustable and heated as standard, the heavily sculpted seats offer masses of lateral support and drop very low into the cabin. In amongst the beautifully lacquered carbon fibre you will also find up-to-date tech with real time traffic info Nav and a DAB radio promoted by Harmon Kardon, whilst an adjustable head up display alters the level of information available above the instrument binnacle.
Whilst there is a considerable amount of diversity now in the cabin, the default values remain; excellent occupant support with superb materials and finish.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Competition Package comprises an increase in engine output by 19hp to 450hp. It outguns the previous V8 variant for both power, mid-range torque and the choice of 3 gearbox parameters allows movement through the ratios with almost no perceptible break in the flow of power.
Also included on this model is the Adaptive M suspension, which has been comprehensively aligned to the increased performance. Optimised features also include new springs, dampers and roll bars alongside modified characteristic curves of the three driving modes. The Active M differential and Dynamic Stability Control feature (DSC) have also been updated accordingly.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
‘Competition Pack’ 666 M star forged 20-inch M light-alloy wheels frame the mammoth M Carbon Ceramic brake system in a no nonsense display of power, performance and style.
The Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the top choice for the road going all rounder with immense feel and traction in the wet or dry.
