This early 90's coupe is well built, reliable, powerful and so retro.
These Accord Coupes (and the closely related Aerodeck estate) were originally built by Honda Manufacturing USA for sale solely in the North American market that Honda is such a big player in. Honda Europe decided to officially sell the Coupe and Estate versions of the USA Accord over here and this example is one of just 11 manual 2. 2 ES versions left on UK roads. The build quality of these cars seems to be better than the already impressive saloon versions that were built in the UK at the time with steel that feels thicker and some nice quality cabin fittings.
To drive this Coupe offers superb ride comfort with tight body control and a broad spread of torque throughout the rev range, it is quite quick with a very strong 148 bhp (non VTEC) engine and one of the nicest manual box gear changes around. I would drive this car anywhere and would gladly undertake a European road trip in it.

Originally this Coupe was registered to Honda Motor UK and then after 10 months to a local long term private owner who held on to the car until 2017, I am the third registered keeper. It is currently on 93, 000 miles with an MOT to October 2020 and is supplied with its full bookpack, 2 keys, toolkit, and even the 'Honda Pride' audio cassette that was supplied at handover nearly 26 years ago! The history file includes stamps in the service book, old MOT's and tax discs along with invoices for work carried out.
Many replacement parts have been fitted over the last 3 years including new exhaust sections, new brake caliper, battery, ABS sensors & CV joints. The rust that often forms at the bottom of the rear arches has been cut away with new metal let in and the area repainted to a very high standard.
This is a great car that is very enjoyable, gets noticed and could be enjoyed as is or possibly modified as there are many products available from the USA for these cars.
