Originally built in November 1959 and restored in 2001. Austin Healey 3000 Mk I chassis H-BT7-L/ 5367. This Mk I was originally exported to Charleston USA. The car was re-imported back to the UK in the late 1980’s.
During the restoration the car was converted to RHD was painted to the customers requested colour of Healey Blue with a Blue interior, hood and tonneau. This 3000 MK I had a full engine rebuild and was upgraded with a Fast road aluminium cylinderhead, Fast road camshaft, tubular exhaust manifold and larger HD8 carburettors. The engine has excellent oil pressure hot or cold and is fully balanced. The car was also fitted with an uprated fuel pump, adjustable steering column, overdrive and 72 spoke painted wheels.
A structurally excellent car. Restored on its original chassis and inner structure, the car was rebuilt using its original outer wings, shrouds, doors, bonnet and an all new interior with correct blue vinyl seats and dashboard. The car is fitted with its rebuilt original gearbox and rear axle. This was a no expense spared 100% restoration. Ideal for touring or shows.
