One of the most successful British cars of the 1930’s, the Morris Eight was introduced in 1934 as the replacement for the original 8hp Minor. Powered by a 918cc sidevalve engine, the Eight was available as a 2 seater, a four seat Tourer and two and four door saloons.
So durable was the Eight to prove that many were still in daily use and a familiar sight on British roads right up until the 1970s.
Plenty of Eights survive and are catered for by the enthusiastic Morris Register, with excellent spares availability.
Finished correctly in blue and black, with blue interior trim, this four seat Tourer was clearly refurbished some years ago. It is in sound and presentable all round condition, showing signs of use and a few marks here and there , but these in no way detract, they merely add character! It has the advantage of a later Series ‘E’ four speed gearbox and pulls strongly on the road. The weather equipment is elderly but serviceable and the car is ready and willing. An ideal introduction to pre war motoring, being simple to maintain and easy to drive.
